History

The Grand Forks Masonic Temple first opened to its members in 1915, born from a devastating fire in the winter of 1912 at its former home on DeMers Avenue, it has proudly served its members for 105 years. It has endured floods, fires, and the passage of time and today still is a gem of historic downtown Grand Forks, a building with a foundation built on tradition and hard work, a building that is very important to its members, community, and to the entire state. It is the last historic Masonic Temple of its size still in operation and owned by North Dakota Masons. With its nationally renowned hand painted theatre scenes located in the upper auditorium and many other intricate furnishings.
